The volume will stay on 0 when you turn the volume button.

I brought the car like this hoping it would be the amp, but I have tried 3 different amps now so it seems unlikely to be the amp.

Car audio engineer suggested one of the speakers going to ground could cause this.

The head unit is the other possibility. I'm able to change the radio frequency, but the auto seek function will not land on a radio station.

I have searched for solutions to no avail. If anyone has ideas, please let me know.

 

Meant to say volume dial. The button can turn the stereo on and off, even though there is no sound.
