Default How to remove rear wiper arm

What's a good way to remove the rear wiper arm and fill up the hole? I think it's an eyesore on all the SUV's and I have never used it.

Doesn't rear wiper hide under rear spoiler on the top of hatch door?
(It's this way on both RXs I had (2013 & 2020), and on all others I see on the road).
How would it be an eyesore?
Edit: Just noticed - is it for 2006 RX?

Oops sorry posted to wrong forum, it's the Gen 2.
But yes I think all the wiper arms on rear glass are eyesores.

Most SUVs I've owned had rear wipers and I appreciated them when it rained.

I agree. I've never once used the rear wiper in any of the cars I've owned.
If carmakers put wipers on sunroofs, some people would say they use them all the time and love them!

I've also thought about removing it and quickly realized it's not worth the trouble.

If you want to remove the rear wiper, remove the arm and motor, then measure the hole. Go to your local Ace and find a plastic plug to fit the hole then RTV the heck out of it to seal it in place.

I use mine occasionally in the rain for better rear visibility, Not going to say I love it and I DO like the hidden ones in the third gen better, but it's a useful tool when needed. If you live somewhere where it never rains, then removal is an option.

Yeah you could do that^^^^^But is it worth the time to do that? If you sold it, then you'dhave to reinstall the parts you removed......btw, I don't use it either.....

I am sure you could remove it. you will need a small wheel puller, as it is probably corroded on in-place.

Maybe get a pretty metal **** with a set screw and just slide it onto the shaft
