What do you peeps out there would say is the best thing to get to polish out oxidized headlights. Mine arent totally bad yet but they are getting there.
go to an auto spares shop and buy a bottle of plastic polish. . You do not need tools just polish as you would the car . No need for clear coat, just Polish them every couple of mths.

3M 39008 Headlight Lens Restoration System Restorer Kit
I might just do that; but do u have to be a member of sams club to get that price?
Basically yes. But you could borrow somebody's card to get in the door and get the work order written up. After that you shouldn't need it, but I would take it with you when you pick up the car - just in case.
the kits are sandpaper, plastic polish and clear laquer. Nothing special. As i posted earlier easiest way is just polish them with plastic polish(or brasso) every couple of mths. You only need the kit and use the sand paper if they are really badly crazed.

Walmart sells the 3M sanding kit for like $20 but it does not include the clear coat, and in your area wheres theres tons of sun, it'll haze up again very quickly. It's hard to find the clear coat locally for me, I had to order the dupicolor headlight clear coat kit. But with those two I could do it easily at home and multiple times. The 3M kit can do 3 times while the dupicolor can do a lot more.
