Transmission oil changed by wrong type
Eariler today the mechanic changed my tranmission fluid for my rx 330 model 2004 6 cylinders by "toyota transmission fluid dexron type ii" but in the manual it says use ATF type T-IV
my question is...should i change the fluid oil immediatly by type T-IV or it is fine to use dexron type ii thank you |
Dexron, Dexron II, IID, and Dexron IIE—these are the original GM Dexron ATFs and are no longer licensed by the company, having been superseded by Dexron III, which has now itself been superseded by Dexron VI. The difference between Dexron, II, and IIE was mostly in the oxidation inhibitors.
