TPMS light will not go out. Uncle!
About a month ago, the TPMS light came on on my 2009 Lexus 2009 RX350. Since I recently replaced all four sensors in the wheels (except the spare), I assumed it was bad so I had it replaced. The mechanic told me that the computer was sensing the new monitor but he could not get the sensor light to turn off. I have since had it checked by two other shops and the problem persists. Three different mechanics says sensors are working as they should but the warning light is still flashing for the usual 90 seconds and then staying on. I have tried several resets, checked to make sure I was set to the primary tires in the switch under the driver side, driven 40 or 50 miles to see if the light would go off. Help me think outside the box! I am at a complete loss. Really do not want to take it to the dealer $$$$$$.

Before taking it to the dealer, it might be worth calling the service department and explaining the problem. If they've seen this before, since they only work on Lexus, they might know immediately what the problem is, making it worth paying the dealer labor charge to get it done right, in one trip.

You can replace them individually. I was replacing them one at a time in my wife's 2007 RX350--every few months--until I got tired of doing so and just stopped doing it altogether. For the last 3-4 years we owned the car, the TPMS light was on.

Thanks. That is something I was not aware of

Same thing happened to me.
It turned out for the 2nd gen RX, you must use a specific scan tool to reset the light and most shops do not have it.
The shop I went to sent me to the dealer and they picked up the tab.
It costed around 200 to reset all the lights and they never came back again.

2 sets of tires and their TPMS sensors can be used. In or near the glove box you can toggle back and forth between 2 sets with a little button, look in your manual.
Try this:
Set the button to the 2nd set of tires, then go through the initialization process again to match the sensors to the car's computer. It's true you need a special scanner to input the sensor ID's, but if you toggle to the 2nd set, your car may accept them and turn off the light once you initialize them.
In my case, I had 2 of 4 replaced. Discount tire could not reset the TPMS light no matter how hard they tried. I met with their tech and said, let's try it on tire setting 2 and that worked. So now, my mix of 2 original and 2 new sensors on my RX all read as tire set 2 and no TPMS light. The next time I have a sensor failure, I'll need them scanned with the Lexus scanner to my cpu; which I'll have done to tire set 1, and have them clear tire set 2's stored data.

all in the family...
just went through this myself a couple of months ago. First of all there is a 'charge' level to all the sensors.Three levels to be exact. As long as they are 'green'(okay) they can be entered. Since you say you have replaced all recently i can't imagine this is the problem. You did replace with new, right? So, the next thing is that they ALL (ie. 5) need to be registered as a family. you cannot just replace one and then register it. you need to re-register all five as a family. My guy used a Snap-on sensor and programmer( seperate units) unit.
