It's now after the fact but I believe the OEM supplier is KYB.I have used the on my AWD Sienna and they were great quality and vastly improved the ride. I noticed in shopping there were numerous configurations in struts, different models between AWD and FWD and I think the 400h might vary as well possibly due to added battery weight so cross checking part #s is worth the time it takes.. The more info I found and more reviews I read, the stronger the case was for KYB. I later changed all 4 in my AWD Highlander but managed to find a very low mileage set on a two month old wreck. If KYB made a complete preloaded "Easy strut" version that would be the best option for making this an afternoon DIY job in the driveway.

there has been some talk of this on the forum, it's believed the factory and dealer supplied strut is oil liquid filled (KYB) all other available struts are gas therefor the ride will be a bit different. the dealer never replaces the springs, so people go for the quick strut option at their indy mechanic cause of this and it's actually usually cheaper. if you replaced with a quick strut option you might have gotten the wrong springs not the wrong struts for your car, that would make the ride really harsh. Also people have noticed that after they do work on their suspension the owners tend to pay more attention to the ride quality instead of just driving from A to B , noticing more bumps etc. People love and hate the FCS quick strut and also love and hate the dealer option so there's no correct answer just what route you decide on and if you stick with it.

I suggest you reuse your OEM Toyota springs if you still have them and rebuild them using, KYB, Bilstien or Monroe strut cartridges, the quality of your ride has a lot to do with your springs, aftermarket Springs are inferior to the Strut springs that came with your Lexus
