Lexus rx350 2008 VSC off Light
Hi, I have a 2008 Lexus rx350. While driving on the highway, 3 indicator lights appeared at the same time 1) check engine 2) slip indicator 3) VSC off (which was blinking). The car however, was running fine.
I reset the lights and they went away. My assumption is that if there is truly an issue in the car, the lights would come back on again. Is this correct?
I’m thinking that while driving, The car must’ve thought I was swerving or I must’ve bumped something which moved something.
Has anyone experienced anything like this before?

I've been experiencing this same issue lately. For the last couple of months actually. I've kept the car very local for this reason. I was backing out of the driveway one day and I felt something like the front wheels slip. The lights came on and they stayed on until I unhooked the battery and left it off for about 10 minutes to clear the computer. Restarted the car and it was cleared of the three lights. My wife drives it back and forth to work within about a mile. A couple of days ago I was going to put gas in and the lights were back on. My wife had forgot to tell me they came back a couple of days ago.
This time I'm thinking about bringing it and having it scanned at a local parts store and see what it comes back with.
Keep us updated on how yours does and I'll report back my findings.

I think if y'all search this forum, you will find that a dirty ABS sensor or ring (it mounts on the inside of the brake rotors) is often the cause, and a cheap DIY. Search youtube...

Yes, a bad O2 sensor can cause this as well - if the CEL/VSC warning lights comes on, don't automatically assume something catastrophically bad (if the car runs and drives smoothly). If a sensor goes bad, it can trigger these warning lights. You need to get a OBD II scanner or borrow one from your mechanic and see whats causing it to go off. Don't let any mechanic or the dealership talk you into an expensive ($1000-2000) repair until you can get a scanner to read the error code from the ECU.

Hybrid RX and Highlander hybrid are known to collect condensate or water in hybrid battery well. Requires full access to the battery underbelly. There was write up on this forgot where, here or at toyotanation, with pictures.
