2008 RX 350 Vibration/Noise
I am going to try and explain this the best I can:
I have this vibration/noise that I can feel and hear in the steering wheel and gas pedal at an idle, you probably wouldn't notice it unless you drove it before it happened. If I turn the AC on high and move the steering wheel a bit you can kind of hear/feel it a little more. It sounds like it is happening right in front of where the driver sits. When I put it in drive and go to take off you can feel it and hear it, but it does not always do it. If I were to push the pedal down quite a bit for a quick take off, which I don't do unless I am showing someone this noise, then it will for sure happen. It'll happen randomly but will happen every time I drive at least once. Rarely on bumps and turns I'll get the noise. It kind of sounds like something is hitting against something else or maybe a grinding even. I've taken it to a mechanic and they could not figure out what it is. They at least confirmed that it is not motor mounts or struts.
EDIT: I did a little more Googling and this kind of sounds like a torque converter problem. Does that sound right to you guys?
If you have experienced this or have a solution please let me know.
Thanks in advanced!
