Tire air pressure not sure what to do
Hi all
i have a set of tires on my rx350 that say 45 lbs and the sticker inside the door says 32 psi.
They are always leaking down to 25 and the low tire light comes on. Which air pressure should I obey?
Thanks

32. 45 is max allowed pressure.
You have alloy reams, right? Welcome to the world of leaking alloys. The fix is to take leaking ones to a tire place, dismount, CLEAN mounting area THOROUGHLY, and remount tires with lots of goop used.
It may work.
If it does not, you have micro crack in rim itself. Unless you pin point crack and seal it with resin, you are destined to get new rim.
Also, do not let them use rim edge mounted balance weights, as they pry tire bead edge away from the rim. Use ONLY sticky weights. They, anyway, stay on alloys like forever. I have not done sticky weight since 2002.

If you say so. I had quite a few leakers that way. Honda is bad about it. Rims are pricey to replace. Also, I am presuming, tires were checked for any small leaks?
If you can take wheel off, mix some mild soapy water in spray can. Spray liberally onto the tire/rim edge. See what happens. Also, spray inside the wheel, onto the rim flat surface.

I'd check with soap water first. It might be as simple as small leaking tire. Or, if it will show rim leak, or edge between tire and rim, it can be remounted. If it leaks inside the rim, it will only get worse. It's up to you to decide, how fast it gets down on pressure and how much of hassle/expense it is. I fix tires myself, so it's no big deal for me.
