Default rear wiper washer started to smear window, then smoke

my 09 rx 350 rear window washer started to smear when I tried to wash the windows, then smoke started to come from under my hood, water temp was normal, smelled like burned rubber, what could have happened?

washer motor burnt out???

Maybe the rubber hose from the washer fluid reservoir got in contact with the engine and melted?

Is this a easy fix (DIY) or do we need to take in somewhere to be professionally fixed? thanks for those of you who have responded.
