Default Dash and Headlamp Recall

I might be a little late in posting this but If you haven’t done so already check up on the Head lamp and Dash recalls Lexus has put out. They will Replace both items for free. Especially the Headlamp recall be cause its a safety issue.

Good luck

Did the headlight swap about 2 years back.

Got lucky on the dash cracking tho *knocks on wood*.

I've peeked inside some RX's and saw some pretty smashed up dashes...

There is a time limit on these recalls. Lexus told me my window for headlamps on a 2005 RX expired 3 years ago.

No biggie as I just resealed the HL with clear silicone.....no more water has gotten in since.

Same here, re-sealed with Silicone. The headlight recall is expired, as well as the dashboard. Hence it is a must that you register on Lexus.com as owners. Letters were sent out on the dashboard and panel recalls, including the airbag. I did not get the headlamp recall because I believe it was not a recall, but if you complained about it and they see evidence, Lexus will pay for it. But this is long gone. I tried to get mine replaced but the dealer came up with a lame explanation that I had a fender bender and it caused a crack on the headlamp, completely lame (but yes I did have a minor bump, but not as much as to crack my lamps). So I sealed it and no leak so far. Lots of DIY around here.

I was late in bringing my wife's RX in (Yea, only by a couple of days) and a kool service manager told me to call Lexus corporate and complain like hell about the headlamps being a safety issue. It worked but it was a while back. but you fixed it so kool.
