Just bought my Lexus RX 330 from Lexus of Pembroke Pines, Florida. I live on the other side of the state and the salesman is going to drive the car to me (what a sweetheart).

Got the 9420 (2 wheel drive) with the GPS navigation system, the Mark Levinson sound system, the DVD player and laser cruise control.

Kool.

They are overnighting the paperwork which I'm to send back overnight then they'll drive the car over before July 4th.

I'm excited!

White. I wanted Savannah or Pearl White, but I'm getting White. LOL.

The car has the aluminum wheels and heated seats. I ask you, heated seats? I live in friggin' Florida!

But if you want all the goodies I wanted you have to buy the heated seats. That is how they build them for the Southeast.

I found out that different regions get different things. In the Northeast you can't buy the front wheel drive car -- only the 4 wheel drive. Interesting, no?

The car has the VN (premium package with navigation system and Mark Levinson radio), the EY entertainment system with DVD rear seat and wireless headphones, the aforementioned heated seats (HH) which includes the rain sensing wipers, and the FT aluminum alloy with snow tires. In Florida.



South Florida has some good deals right now -- JM Lexus is offering some internet deals at $3000 below MSRP. I did the fax blast -- didn't get a great response (car is too new and too hot), but I still managed to get a deal I am happy with.

Well, I'd be HAPPY if I won the lottery, but I'm satisfied.

 

Congrats on the new wheels! I have a RX330 on order with the performance package and my dealer said the laser cruise was not available. She said it was a safety issue and wasn't shipping yet. Is the laser only shipping on the VPN/ML package? thanks.

 

Over here on the west coast, they aren't putting the laser cruise control because it became a cost issue, not a safety issue. It's already on the LS430 sedan.

 

I'm shopping for a base 2004 RX 330 (fwd with the basic premium package). Any idea what the best price is for this vehicle in the State of Florida?

Update: I'm editing this message, because I already made my purchase. I ended up getting a great deal in Florida, although not from JM Lexus. Their prices were actually quite high compared to others. Feel free to email me if you want details.
