08 RX350 rear marker light replacement

I broke my right rear one and replaced it. Here's how to do it. It is held on by one bolt; IIRC it is 12mm. Also has a small plug in wire harness to undo for removal. Lay under your rear bumper and feel up there for the bolt. You will not be able to see it, but reach up there around the light and find it with your hand. Use a universal joint socket adapter on your 12mm socket, then a long extension to reach up there. Put the socket on the bolt and undo it, then it will come down where you can disconnect the wire harness. The light assembly has a ridge on one side to help hold it in there. Once you get to messing with it; you'll see it can only go one way. Took me a little while to figure it out, but I could do it now in <5 minutes.
The book and others will say to take the whole bumper off and undo the wheel well guards, undo the bottom of the tool bins and all this other stuff you don't need to do. Reach up in there and feel the bolt. Remove it and you're done. You will need the universal joint adapter to access it for removal as it is a tight area on an angle.

Yeah, but in my case, my wife backed into a car and the whole outer assembly was cracked. Red outer lens destroyed. If it's just a bulb out, then by all means replace bulb. Either way it's pretty easy to remove
