Default 07 RX350 Oil Line Gasket Sealant

Hi all,
I just purchased a nice 07 RX350. It has 93K miles and has the rubber oil lines. I just ordered the OEM metal line replacement and the two gaskets. Do I need to put any type of sealant on those gaskets? Thanks for the help.

No don't use any. I've had mine on for over 10k and no leaks at all. Once you get your new gaskets, and when you remove the old system, you'll see that the gaskets have raised flanges that compress onto the mating surface creating a tight bond and do not need sealant. Clever design by Lexus, and you'll see they didn't use sealant either when you remove old lines. Def mandatory job on these. Take your time and it's not too bad really.

Thanks for the advice. I do all my maintenance when possible. It looks like a pretty straightforward job.
