Ignition Boot Stuck on the Spark Plug
 

The Ignition Coil Boot is really stuck on the Spark Plug...
I searched on CL, couldn't find anything, on YouTube or the Internet there are various hacker methods for various types of vehicles. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/icons/icon9.gif
I do not mind if the Boot will be unusable although I do not want to rip it up in small pieces in that area since I might as well replace the Spark Plug along with the Ignition Coil.
Anyone deal with this with a clean & clear method?

Depending on how cracked it is, a pair of long needle nose pilers will pull it out. If it comes into pieces, put a powerful shop vac over it before removing the spark plug. Had this happen on my Camry but boot was in good shape and reusable.

We generally have this desire to pull straight up on these, I have found twisting them clockwise or counter clockwise helps break that seal of the rubber on the plug.

Actually the only way was to use a Pick Set & push the straight Pick as far as possible in between the spark plug & boot.
Then I used the semi curved pick to move the boot counterclockwise & clockwise then pulled up, it came out in one piece since the rubber is thicker further down.
No small pieces of rubber present after that, but I did use Dust Off (normally for my cameras) to blow out anything, just in case.
Since I was so preoccupied with the boot issue, once the boot was removed I notice the original Ignition Coil was black on top instead of the normal yellow...
maybe a used Ignition Coil from a 3.3L Camry was installed previously.
Figured the Ignition Coil Cylinder 4 causing the PO304 was overworked to supply the current to the Spark Plug.
The Spark Plug looked nasty with a large amount of carbon where contact is made with the Ignition Coil.
I changed all the spark plugs for 2, 4, 6 cylinder since the original 2 & 6 Ignition Coils were fine & came out easily.
Put in also my Ignition Coil from the wreckers, no codes & there is noticeable improvement.
