After ours was washed in the local automated car wash, the antenna was always folded down. I don't know if that was done purposefully by the wash attendant or if the wash equipment happened to push it there. Never had any problems with it getting damaged.
Honestly, a good "feather touch" carwash is the only automatic that actually gets a car clean. If there's one thing that really gets under my skin, it's seeing a dirt film still left on the windows, and even the body (real bad here in salt country) after spending $9 (give or take) on a touchless car "wash." We're finally getting one in my area, and I can't wait for it to open. Feather touch doesn't use brushes, and leaves no swirl marks. We have a ton of car washes around here, and every one of the automatics are touchless. The guy who's going to offer one will be making a fortune.
