2008 Rx400h ML Center Dash Speaker Disconnect?

Recently, the center dash speaker of my rx400h has been making a crackling sound after a friend blasted music. Anyways, I'd like to disconnect the speaker if this is possible (as I don't believe I can afford replacing the speaker). Does anyone share their experience as to how to go and remove them? It's the speaker right on top of the navigation unit.

On my car (2004 ML, no Nav) I was able to easily pry off the grill (there is a post on each corner), two bolts to remove the speaker and then you have access to the connector.

Do you know the socket size/wrench to take out the bolt? I tried 3/8 and 7/16, and it doesn't seem to work
