looking into acquiring a rx 350 2009 model with 61 k
need advice?
First time lexus owner from aHonda.
Please advice on pros and cons.

I have a 2009RX350 with 52K miles. If properly maintained, these cars are excellent. So you just need to ensure that required maintenance was accomplished and that the 60K miles mainteance, which - I believe - is a larger service, with filters such as air and cabin - was also completed. If the services were done at the dealer(s), a search by VIN should show you what was done and reassure you.
You can search this forum for problems people have and have had, but generally there are specific to particular cars rather than to the model which is overall well built and reliable. I live in FL and had to change my dashboard because of problems with heat and humidity, but Lexus finally took care of the cost.

Check the service history.
Check rack & pinion for leaks - This model is known to have that problem
Other known problems - vvti hose leak and oil cooler hose leak (Search and you will find related threads on this forum)

Look for any sign of leak near the water pump. My wife's 08 water pump, Gasket and Serp. belt were replaced at 98K miles.
Coolant temperature sensor and thermostat were replaced at 100K miles.

Knock on wood, so far no leak on the Rack and pinion at 107K miles.

The engine and transmission and everything else are still solid. I use Mobil 1 every 6-7K miles and transmission Fluid (WS) drain-and-refill (about 4 quarts) every 12K miles.

Wife still loves the RX compares to the 08 Honda CRV she had before.

I would check to see if the RX you are looking at has the Air Suspension.

If it does, it could mean costly repairs in the future.

One strut costs about $1,700 CAD
Sensors are about $450 CAD Each and there are 4

After owning an RX330 with the air suspension, I would never buy another one that had the same set up.

And keep in mind, the RX330 and 350 are almost identical when it comes to the suspension.

gave up on this one as it looked like it showed it had a lot of mileage and not 61k.
The body was rough and bulging at the doors and the interior was also rough.
