Just purchased 2004 RX330. The wheels are 17"X6.5" with a 35mm setback and are in poor condition. I can get a nice set of 2014 ES350 17"X7" with a 40mm setback. Has anyone ever tried these ES350 wheels on their RX330? I did the "wheel" program and it shows the wheel will move 11.4 mm closer to the brake caliper and suspension. That looks pretty close so has anyone tried to use these wheels? I don't have the wheels to try them on. Thanks for any info.

 

Mike, I wanted lighter wheels, so it would improve turn in, acceleration and braking, so I went down to a 17 (came with 18s).

ET 40, its about 2mm clearance, where the wheel weights are stacked to the brake caliper. different wheels than what you are considering.

If it's a local seller, I would see if it fits, before buying.

Thanks for the info. I see them selling wheels with 45mm setback that they say fit a 2004 RX330 but I highly doubt it. Not without spacers anyway. Lexus service rep was no help. I suppose I could put the rim on my car but without the tire on it, I would still be concerned. Thanks again.

 

RX wheels are pretty easy to find on Craigslist. Especially the 17" ones as people with the base model upgrade to the 18". I would not use Camry wheels on the heavier RX and assume they can take the extra weight.

 

Really best to find a 30mm or better yet a 10 or 20mm offset.....40mm is way to much...If you were closer, I have a set of 8.5''x18's w/ a 20mm offset...work great w/ 235's......

 

Your mileage will not be as accurate as you have a different diameter wheel, not too much to worry about anyway.
