Cool Update: My RX350 Mods

Wanted to post some pics while we had a nice day!

Just installed my new mudflaps, chrome side skirt trim, window trim, and door handles. I also had the front windows done with top of the line SolarGard tint film. The interior/exterior was completely converted to 6K LED lighting. Going to install a double din touch screen when Spring comes around. I did the mesh DIY on the lower half of the front to avoid rock debris as well. For the front grille I decided on the 400h grille, however I painted it glossy piano black and added my own chrome accenting. I feel that it's the perfect combination. I'm not obsessed with chrome, but I wanted to give it an updated look.

My biggest project that I completed this week was my headlight retrofit! This had the halogen light package yikes LOL.

I Installed 55w 5500k Morimoto HID lights in Morimoto FX-R 3.0 Bi Xenon Projectors. I swapped out the DRL's with 5K LED's and also installed Switchbacks for the turn signals and the parking lights are now LED. For the fogs I put in Nokya Hyper Yellow 2500k halogens for that JDM look.

I will post output and night time shots for those later this week.

Nice work! The grill looks great. If you get a chance post a pic of the whole front end. Its good to see someone doing upgrades to a 2nd Gen RX.

Thats a lot of chrome.

How is the handling and engine performance of the ES vs RX?

I've always been considering the RX330/350 as an upgrade for my ES330, but I'm not sure if it'll have the passing power or too much body roll and weight when maneuvering.

Get a set of those factory 18s and the car will look great. As for the chrome, I think it looks good, just dont do the chrome pillars

Got the chrome window trim from car id through eBay-- they also have them on their actual site, for slightly more money. It's real high quality stainless steel. Not a fan of polished pillars so I got the set without them.

I'm not usually a fan of chrome add-ons but the window trim looks good. Glad you didn't do the pillars.
