The heater works through the feet or the vents (front and rear) on my 2007 RX350. However, if you choose the defrost button (on dash) or the defrost/feet in the in-dash display controls, you get no heat.

So definitely not full blown heater doesn't work because it will bake you right out of the car.

Is there a deflector broken? A sensor?
