Passenger Air Bag Off light always lit
I have a 2007 RX400h. All of a sudden I see the air bag light on the dash and the passenger air bag off light always lit. It does not matter whether I am sitting in the passenger seat or not. I should easily weigh enough to turn on the passenger air bag. Is there a way to view the error code and/or reset the error code? I have a basic OBDII scan tool. It does not show any error codes. Any ideas?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I noticed that when the passenger removes the seat belt, the seat belt light does not illuminate, but it does for the driver. Do I assume the problem is with the passenger weight sensor?

I bought a Toyota/Lexus cable that connects to the car and to a computer using USB on ebay. It worked great. The dealer went on and on that it could take 2 hours to do the job. I did the whole calibration in maybe 20 minutes without ever having done it before.

Do you have airbags in general?

Is there anything at all on the passenger seat? It takes only a few pounds to make the light go on.
In fact, I have a habit of resting my right hand on the passenger seat while going around corners and light will go on.

All I can suggest is using Techstream to see the current command settings.
btw, I didn't know 2007 400H's had that type of center console -- it's a little different from all the other RX's. Is your car from overseas?

2. Check all wire connectors under the seat.
3. Visit O'Reilly store to reed errors for free. It will show you where to search.
