04 RX at 88,888 miles
04 RX @ 88,888 miles
Acquired in 06 with 24K miles. Have put in 64,888 miles to bring it to the magic 88,888 miles.
Knock on wood, very solid SUV. The new 2016 RX is a good design, not as earth shattering but should enable Lexus’ recapturing the lead on the Premium market. Right now Lexus trails BMW and Mercedes, not by much. With the new bold design of the cars launching for Lexus, there could be a revival of Lexus Brand. Lexus lost the title in 2010. There has not been a lot of new vehicle launches for Toyota and Lexus, not until recently. Namely the IS, NX, the CT, the mid-model Camry new sheet metal, Highlander, Tacoma, Tundra, Corolla and soon the new RX!

No, I don't play soccer!
Congrats on the milestone mandyfig. I'm glad your RX is still solid. It confirms yet again how well built Lexus vehicles are. And I agree there's lots of exciting new vehicles out there. The '16 RX is going to reinvent the LUV market it created some 17 years ago.
Here's to many more trouble free miles.

Was contemplating on the NX. But the new RX is looking good. I will have to wait for off-lease units though. Do not want to be the guinea pig on 1st edition. I will wait for the bugs to be ironed out. Plus have somebody else take the hit on depreciation.
But reading through the Lexus strategy, this 2016 will end up being a hit, just like the 2004 Model! Bring it on.

Actually I have seen the '16 RX, at the NYIAS a few months ago. Pictures don't do it justice. And I've only had one problem on delivery among the three RXs, an inoperable rear window switch on the 330. No bugs otherwise. Missing out on bluetooth by a year doesn't qualify
So what did you do to your RX to commemorate the occasion?
