K&N 33-2260 air filter install problem
I just spent more than an hour trying to install K&N 33-2260 air filter, but failed to do that. My car is 2005 RX330.
This replacement shouldn't be difficult. But I couldn't get the damn lid on properly(the two tabs on the left side won't mate together, as seen from the front of the vehicle). I checked and i have the proper one (K&N 33-2260) for my car - 2005 RX330. No matter what I did, I couldn't get the filter to line up and close the top lid down. I pushed the lid from the driver side with some force to get it to screw down and if I did, then the left side tabs would pop out. At the moment, I took the dirty OEM filter back in until I can figure out how to install this damn thing. Help!

It is well known that the air box is jammed in our 330's. The bolt in the back is so hard to put back on. It is only with practice that you are able to put it back with no pain. Only thing that I recommend is patience.
Adding a variation of the K&N Filter, adds misery.
