Just to get the details of this issue across it is relating to a 2007 Awd 3.5 Rx350 with navigation.

Autostart tech of 20 years installed a Viper autostart and alarm system with smartstart in my Vehicle. Install went fine features are working great. The tech starts the car puts it in reverse drives the vehicle out of the garage. He then shifts the transmission from reverse to park and the vehicle automatically shuts off. I can turn it on but when I shift from park to drive it turns off again when it hits neutral. In neutral I can turn it on again them shift into drive and it works but again when I shift to neutral the vehicle shuts off again.

Also what's weird is that when you are in park and turn the car on the cluster lights (illuminate speed gauge) don't turn on, they only turn on when in reverse or drive.

He disconnected the autostarter/ alarm yet the problem is still there. I searched high and low and this is a weird unknown or unheard of problem. I am hoping someone has encountered this before. Can someone please offer some advice on how to deal with this issue.

Ugh, I feel for you. Sounds like a screw up when hacking the harness. Take it to Lexus dealer for diagnosis on installers dime.

I had a used Acura Prelude with an after market security system. Had electrical issues with the power windows and locks, also dash lights flickered. Took it too Acura and had it all removed. Car worked fine after that, no problems. Acura dealer said it was a botched install. Too many idiot, so called tech's out there. Be careful of after market systems on these cars.

Sorry, I meant Honda Prelude, had it mixed up with my old Acura.
