Thumbs down Sewell Online Parts Closing March 1st, 2015

Sewell Parts will no longer be selling parts online as of March 1st, 2015.

http://lexus.sewellparts.com/

This is already being discussed on an LS430 thread, so let's try to keep the discussion on that 1 thread. If you are looking for OEM parts, there are several good suggestions on all three of the threads linked below.

Default Sewell does not accept more web orders.

As of March 1 2015 Sewellparts.com is not accepting more web orders, now what??

Do you guys know of a place where we can purchase Lexus OEM parts at a discounted price.

I am bumping this thread back up to the first page of this forum, as a few people have posted asking where to go for parts now that Sewell closed their online store.

^^
Great Idea. Moderators should have a sticky thread through each subforum for something like that now that Sewell is gone. Makes it easier for fellow members and new members to find parts.

For those who don't want to read through the threads.
Here's a list of what I found

http://www.lexussouthatlantaparts.com

RockAuto.com

www.MyLparts.com
http://www.lpartsworld.com
(Discount code CL5)

Use this Club Lexus authorized vendor http://www.mylparts.com

MyLParts is a Lexus dealership in Roseville, California.

"Hey everyone we have increased our Club Lexus discount to 10%! Just use the discount code CL5 and you will receive an additional 10% off of your order. We offer free shipping on orders over $150 and $5 shipping on all other orders. We do not sell any large body pieces and brake rotors are not included in our shipping specials. Those things are just too dang heavy! Hope to see many of you at www.MyLparts.com! Ask for Matt or Jeff".

I have found the best deals on Ebay using the OEM part number. Many have shipped from Toyota dealers

Recently I've got best prices from http://www.amayama.com/
Shipping hasn't been expensive either if compared other things I've got from Japan.
And a lot of different parts available. They were out of stock one Rx's rear bottom panel but had it after a week.

I've also used teilexpress.de and dealerdirectparts.com for original parts although for latter one was tricky to ship to Europe.

parts.com, I have checked the pricing, looks decent. Can not vouch for it yet.

Just a heads-up regarding MyLParts.com: I just ordered a $12 thermister from MyLParts.com using the CL5 code they offered to Club Lexus members (see their offer below pasted in from another post) The ground shipping came out to $15, not the $5 promised by the company. The web site did recognize the code since it gave me the 10% Club discount. I indicated in the comments section to only place the order if shipping is indeed $5. Will let you know what happens.

I was eventually billed just the $5 for the shipping but it was unfortunate that I had to leave a comment on my order form about this. Entering the CL5 code should have yielded this shipping price automatically (as it did the 10% discount) rather than the $15. But I have another issue with their web site which automatically saved my credit card info on their site although I never asked for this or gave my permission for them to retain my info. Having been burned by the Target incident I am a bit wary about storing my CC info on any vendor sites. What was worse was that I was unable to delete the card # from their site. I finally was able to change my CC # by a few digits thus providing them with an unusable number.
