My dash doesn't look nearly as bad as the ones in the video...But if I touch the dash, grease comes out. I hope that counts for replacement!

I wish they'd do the same for the oil cooler lines.

Wow. This is a $800+ gift to me . My RX spent most of it's life in FL and the cracks are starting to appear.

Does anyone know when we should expect to see the letters? Or when the dealerships will start replacing them?

OMG, You just reminded me, mine spent 90% of its life in southern Florida. But as an 09, no cracks yet.

If they replace dashes with cracks in them I'll be thrilled. That's my main complaint about my RX.

+1

That's my main problem right now. I am going to hold off on a dash mat I was going to order for my 05 Lexie RX330 to cover all the cracks on the dashboard.

I just called my local Lexus Dealer, they know nothing about the recall. They are going to look into this and call me back sometime today.
The person I spoke to said that they usually know about recalls when they start receiving parts and she has no knowledge of shipments for recalls. We'll see, this is going to be a slow process.

just got my first notification letter advising they are doing a warranty enhancement. Parts not yet avail but a second notification will be sent
when parts are in. This is similar to the headlight condensation issue.

Does anyone know if the problems with the cracked or sticky dash is related to a particular color? Curious because we have a Florida car and there are no cracks, no sticky sections. It appears to be normal. The color is brown. Just wondering if a particular color had an affect on the elastomers causing the problems.

I live in Florida and my dash was brown( just traded it inlast week). The dash cracked due to to the
technicians having to to replace and then re-replace a faulty switch behind the dashboard. There had been no sign of cracking prior to the repairs.

I received my notice Saturday so hopefully the new owner of my 2007 will learn about it.

Got my dashboard letter today but for the IS! Plus another letter on something else...in the engine.

So the RX is included too? Mine has a crack.
