I love my RX-300, but I have to say the new look of the RX -330 first reminded me of a Pontiac Aztek, and I hate that auto most of anything I've ever seen. This design is very disappointing for me. I also don’t like the look of the Vshape controls panel in the center. The straight lines of it, along with the center console doesn't work well with the curves.. Don't like it one bit. I never noticed a thing wrong with the looks of the RX-300 and still love it dearly.. I think this new design will not be nearly as popular. But the good thing will be the value of the older more favorable design will stay even stronger.. Any one agree with the Aztek look??? yuck!!!!!! Cheers, Roger

I agree the Pontiac Aztek is the ugliest vehicle made, probably since the Edsel. But comparing the new RX330 to that. Please. I don't think you have seen the right pictures. There is hardly a comparison. I see the Mistubishi Outlander looking more like the AzteK with that similar ugly grill and square anti-stylish shape. I do have to admit there are things about the new 330 that could use some improvement, but don't give Lexus the harm of comparing it to the Aztek.

Well... ok.. it doesn't look toooo much like the Aztek, but when I first saw a photo of it the new slope of the back end it did remind me of the Aztek.. Still don't think I'll like that slope when I see it in person.. I'll come back and admit I was wrong if it looks good.. Cheers.. Roger

I don't think I would go as far as compare it to a Pontiac Aztek, but I have to admit I prefer the looks of the 300 over the 330. It does have some really nice upgrades though. I wish I could have the new 5 sp auto in my existing RX. I always complained about it being geared to low for highway cruising.

I have to somewhat agree. When I posted a few weeks ago that I saw the RX330 at the Chicago Auto Show, I mentioned that the slope of the rear looking from the side looked kind of Aztek-y. Now don't you all jump all over me. The rest of the car looks great. It's just going to take a bit to get used to the lines compared to my '02 RX. Sorry, but that goofy Aztek profile was the first thing that came to mind when I first saw it on the turntable.

The new Consumer Reports Auto issue has a prominent photo of the RX-330. It looks pretty good from the angle of the photo. It has a wing, which may also take some of the distraction away from that angle. I hope it looks as good from other views as the one pictured in Consumer Reports. Now if they would get rid of the brushed aluminum on the center panel and doors I might upgrade my 300... Look forward to seeing one in person for the final judgment.. .. Cheers.. Roger
