Will 3rd Gen floor mat fit in 2nd Gen?

Have anyone tried to fit 3rd Gen floor mat into 2nd Gen? Toyota/Lexus has discounted 2nd Gen floor mat in HK and there are limited aftermarket support here for that.

Yes, it won't clip in but will fit just fine, I did this
