Default 18 watt backup bulbs

Hi. I've removed the lens covers from the backup lights and although the light is now better - it's not great. The standard bulbs are 16 watt and I've found some 18 watt (same fitting) but haven't got the courage to try these as worried that the current draw/heat will be too much? Would be grateful if anyone could give me sone advice please.

Many thanks

Sorry - forgot to say that it's an RX 2007

18W is fine. I had good results with Sylvania Silverstar replacements from a local AutoZone. Bulbs can dim with age and use so just replacing them, if they are original, may give you more light. The Silverstar bulbs I used made the back-up camera display on my NAV much brighter.
