Hi all

My sunroof deflector rattles slightly when the sunroof is closed. When I touch it, it stops. Seems to be bouncing slightly more than intended.

I've had this problem with my 07 RX350 for several years. I kept taking it back to dealer to fix under warranty.

All they did was wrap rubber around the deflector to stop it knocking against the fixed parts of the sunroof assembly. And of course the rubber compresses/falls off and the problem reoccurs every 6 - 12 months.

Now the warranty has finished, I want to do something permanent.
Has anyone had this problem and come up with a solution? I'm thinking something to do with the springs that support the deflector ?

I had the same problem. I got a little rubber piece for the bottom of a stool from the hardware store and placed in under the wind deflector so that when the sunroof closes it just barely pushes on the rubber and won't rattle. The hardest part was getting the rubber the small enough so that it wouldn't make the sunroof re-open and big enough to keep the deflector from rattling. But after shaving a few millimeters off with a razor blade, voila. Its been about 8 months and no rattle.

My 2005 RX 330 with just over 171K miles on it has just started doing this. Did you ever come up with a permanent solution?
