Another Timing Belt question
As reference guys, I have 140K on mine and going along just fine. I will change mine out myself when I have time, but I'm not sweating in the mean time. As long as whoever is behind the wheel isn't trying to make 1/4 mile runs, you will be fine. We bought ours used at 100K from a dealer. Would I recommend waiting till then, it's your call. Just sharing some peace of mind until you get it done. I have to leave now and change my oil because I just noticed I have 3001 miles since last change. I think you get the point. Have a great day
I changed my wife's 2004 RX 330's timing belt at 113k and 7 years old. The belt that came out looked like the belt that went in. I did replace the water pump also. Total cost for tensioners, belt, pulley, coolant was $270 if I recall correctly.
