Default driver window wind noise/mechanical play

Has anyone else had this issue:

With all the windows raised, driving at high way speed:

Pull the driver window switch upwards. For me, the window lurches upwards a few millimeters, at which point I can hear a lot of wind noise. After releasing the switch, the window drops back down.

It seems to me like there should be some mechanical limit switch to prevent the window from going up further when it's already up?

Perhaps try the reset procedure, which I think is outlined in the owner's manual?

This is done by sending each door glass down off the switch on the door concerned and holding down the switch for 5 seconds then doing the same thing in the up position for 5 seconds. They will not work from the drivers door switch panel until you do this

cheers

I had a similar issue with my RX330. The window (on auto) would raise too high and distort the rubber trim causing wind noise. My dealer was familiar with the issue and fixed it. I'm pretty sure there is an adjustment to limit the travel.

yes - reset the windows and your problems should be gone.
