Default Annoying "rattle"

i have a 2007 350 rx that has a "rattle" I think is coming from the cargo cover attachment. May get rid of the car because Lexus can't seem to determine if that is the cause of the rattle or can't repair it. i removed the cover and the rattle still there. think it is the plastic connector. They removed the crossbar on top but rattle still there. any similar problems. Nice car and an annoying rattle.

When does the rattle manifest? All speeds? Over bumps? High speeds? There's a peice of cladding under the car that is famous for causing "rattles" seemingly from everywhere.. It's on the driver''s side and the leading edge loses it's adhesive and flaps around.

Print out the attached and show it to your service writer. Is what Carver is describing.

There is also a known problem with a rear rattle that manifest itself only at low speeds. There is a TSIB #NV5016 (Tonneau Cover, Latch Rattle) on this issue. My 2007 was repaired at no cost.

I want to clarify something. This rattle has nothing to do with the Tonneau Cover itself. Instead the problem is with the latches that grab the cover when you close it at the rear hatch. You can in fact determine if this is the problem by simply leaving the tonneau cover open and pushing the two latches forward until they lock in a position away from the rear hatch. The problem is those spring loaded latches rattling against the rear hatch. Lexus repairs this by replacing several plastic panels in the rear hatch.
