Default 2004 with 90k miles $15k - good purchase?

hi all,

just sold my 08' IS 250. need more room for kids/dog. looking @ a 1-owner 04' RX with 90k miles on it. checked it out on carfax and lexus of portland - everything checks out including what the guy told me about new timing belt, new water pump, new roters. unforchunetely I can't afford a new/newer RX right now so i'm wondering if its a decent deal for $15k? thats about $1500 over blue book. With proper maintenance, can I go 2-3 years pretty well with a 2004 with 90k miles and still get a little something back money wise when i go to sell/upgrade to a newer RX in a few years?

thanks for the feedback - i appreciate it!

AWD? FWD? How is it equipped? For your base model with 18" wheels, standard stereo, no NAV, etc. I would think it on the upper end for price. By the time they add taxes, tags, title, and their dealer fees (you have to watch for those) you are looking at much more than $15K. So, would work on them a bit on the price and what the total package cost is going to be for you.

Here is a list of some vehicles in your area:

Might be trying to get some of the cost back from the water pump and timing belt replacement...but here in Ohio they are going for 18k+ for same year and model...so it might also depend on where your located at
