Certified Pre-Owned Warranty Transfer
I recently bought a 2010 RX350 with 26,500 miles from a non-lexus dealer. Lexus service records show It had been certified and sold by a Lexus dealer last year with 23,xxx miles. That's confirmed by the 100,000 mile/3 year certified warranty sticker on the driver side window and door jam. Question is does that warranty transfer to me?

I have moved the post.
Keep in mind you will get people's opinion here in CL. The appropriate agency to call will be the place who issued the warranty.
Typically manufacturer's base warranty is for the vehicle and is based on milage and time. Extended warranties are between the Person and the company. Extended warranty can be purchased from other companies (other than Lexus corp). Lexus extended warranties can be purchased by the owner and Lexus Corp before the base warranty runs out and can be transferred for a fee to the next owner.
Bottom line is there are exclusions and conditions which are documented in the contract and the best advice I can give is .. check with who ever issued the warranty.

Transferability
The Lexus Certified Pre-Owned Limited Warranty is not transferable to any subsequent owner.

Salim,
Thanks for moving the post...apologize for I guess it defaulted to the incorrect RX segment.
RX330inFL, Thanks for the posting the link and clarification it provides. It does read black and white.
Warranty Period
The warranty period begins on the date you purchase your Lexus Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle. The Lexus Certified Pre-Owned Limited Warranty is applicable three years from the purchase date or for 100,000 total vehicle miles, or until the date on which you transfer your Lexus to a subsequent owner. This warranty is not transferable to any subsequent owner.

They certified the car, what difference does it make who drives it. Play dumb until they honor the warranty. Yes, there is the fine print, the lawyer text, blah blah. Screw it. Get them to own up to the warranty. Beg, plead, threaten. It will be worth it in the long run.

The Lexus Factory Warranty of 48 Months or 50,000 miles should still apply. Also if a vehicle is still under the factory warranty you should be able to purchase a Lexus Extended Warranty. Having said that, I don't know if it being a CPO somehow messes over the option to buy a Lexus Extended Warranty. You might want to call Lexus customer service for clarification.
