Pioneer AVIC-x930BT install?
I have a Pioneer AVIC-X930BT from my old LS400 that I snagged before I traded it. However, I didn't get all the wire harnesses and will need to repurchase those. I was wondering if anyone has installed one of these along with the factory navigation system. I am not concerened with hooking up the nav antenna to the Pioneer unit, I just want a DVD player and nicer stereo interface with an AUX input and MicroSD card reader. If anyone has installed one of these, can you retain any functionality with the steering wheel buttons? Im guessing the information the stock stereo displays on the nav would be gone though.

I've done an after market radio install. I currently have the Pioneer AVH 8400BH in my vehicle now.
You can do a search and there's plenty of people that have done after market installs. You can also check eBay for the specific wire harness for your stereo since your existing radio wires might not be long enough (depending on it was removed.)
Also there is someone currently selling a beat sonic kit in the Market place (Rx330inFL its not me this time doing self promotion).
Most people in the forum have went with the BeatSonic kit (face plate and wire harness) but Metra also sells a face plate and wire harness. Metra also makes an adapter than can maintain your steering wheel function.
So if you're interested in doing this yourself, poke around the threads and you'll find some very useful information.
