IPod Connection - 2007 RX350, can't figure out how to use it
Hi,
Just purchased a used 07 RX350 and for the life of me cannot figure out how to make the IPod connection work. Power is coming to the adapter as my phone beeps and starts charging.
I've tried
1. Pressing the SAT button -> cycles through XM (SAT1, 2, 3) and AM, no effect with Iphone
2. Pressing the DISC button multiple times -> Says no CD inserted
Any ideas on any other key combos? It has Navigation as well if that matters.
Thanks,

The 2007 RX350 did not come from the factory with iPod support. There is/was a Toyota/Lexus dealer install cable connection kit available for purchase separate which may be the one installed in your vehicle. However, there are also a number of third party solutions as well, so there is no telling what you have without more information.
This may be what you have:

Have never seen a User's Guide for this item. Perhaps someone else will chime in. You might check with your local Lexus dealership. They are supposed to have a Technology Specialist on staff to assist with such items.
Also, please note that this product may not support newer editions of Apple's products. So, be forewarned.

I did the IPOD kit installation last week. I am guessing that your 2007 RX came with some kind of satellite radio already installed. This needs to be uninstalled for many of the ipod kits to work. So uninstall it at the radio.

From the description posted by the OP it sounds like this was already installed when the vehicle was purchased used. Therefore, it is unlikely to have both this connection kit and SAT installed as you described. More than likely it is just a matter of either not having a User's Manual and knowing to scroll to CD #6 as described by RockfordRX or perhaps their device is not supported by this particular product.
