If that is the case you have no warranty. the manufactures bumper to bumper warrant is 4 years or 50k miles whichever comes first. The drive train warranty is to 70k. Is this a Lexus dealership you are buying the vehicle from? If not, it is not a CPO. Only a Lexus dealership can provide a CPO warranty. Also CPO warranties are not transferable.

Then it is not a certified pre-owned Lexus. Do not let the dealership trip you up with this wording. A LEXUS CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED (CPO) vehicle has a set of qualifications to even be a CPO and the warranty is good at any Lexus dealership. Here is the full info:

Dealers may say it is a certified vehicle, however, all that means is that they checked it out to the level Lexus might require without providing all the guarantees and warranties that come along with the package. If it is not a Lexus CPO -- walk.

Are we talking about another vehicle now? In post one you said the car has 60,000 miles and was a CPO.

Sorry for the confusion, I was looking at a second rx350
Both were 2009
1.) 2009 60k miles cpo at a dealer
2. 2009 30k Miles , remaining manufacturers warranty ,

This is good advice from Rx330inFL. Be aware that the 2013 models are already appearing in showrooms. My 2007 RX350 first entered service by me on April 20, 2006. The warranty is from the in-service date. The dealer should provide the date if you request it.

Now, as long as the vehicle is still under warranty you can purchase an extended warranty from Lexus. Get a quote from the dealer and then contact the following individual for a quote. Does not matter where you get the warranty from, as long as it is from Lexus.
Send him your location of purchase, VIN and current miles to get a quote.

Just Emailed Jerry
We bought a 2009 RX350 earlier this week. After reading this tread I decided to email Jerry and get pricing. He responded within 5 minutes. I must've caught him at the keyboard.
My local dealer quoted me $4500 for the 8/125000 and $3500 for the 8/100000, which just about made my heart stop. His pricing is much more in-line with what I expected. I've got about 2200 miles and/or 2 months left before the original warranty runs out.
Thanks a lot guys for Jerry's contact info. I didn't realize there was that much markup on these warranties! If I decide to pull the trigger, you guys at clublexus just saved me around $2k. Not bad for a free site!
