I already have hid back up light on my rx330 and it is brighter. it helps me backup at night alot easier because I added limo tint on my rear doors and back window plus tinted tail light. But, I'm thinking about removing tint on my tail light to have more light output. it is pitchy black at night. I added this just to see better at night. I don't have separate switch for tailgaters. Just you know, mine is only 15w and it is made for backup light, not regular 35w hid.

I believe that the 5W CREE LED bulbs we carry are a perfect upgrade that is affordable and reasonable:

Remove center shroud on back up light
For those who have replaced the back up light on the RX350 with projector 921 CREE LED, did you remove the center shroud that covers the OEM light? If so, what is involved in removing it?

Did you go with v-led's leds in your 330 as well? If yes, can you please list the part numbers for each type of bulb you used?
Thanks in advance!

That is an excellent question. Much of the problems with rear visibility lighting are due to the really weird 'shroud'' It blocks most of the light. If the shroud were removable, there would be no need for the LEDs or brighter bulbs. I have tried to speculate on the function of the shroud (other than blocking the light, which is non-sensical). I tried to find a way to remove it cleanly, but was afraid parts of it would end up - unreacheable - in the light fixture. If anyone knows how to remove it, please let us know.
