I decided to actually contribute by posting my mods and my experience with them....
1. Vais Technology - MultiMediaLinQ (VML)
Installation - The installation was pretty straight forward. I'll post detailed instructions and pics later. For now the thing to remember is that there are 4 bolts holding the radio in place. Two are easily visible and there are other 2 10 mm bolts that are hard to see and require an extension to get to. A bit with a magnet is highly recommended. Right now I am using an iPod (purchased 11/20110) with it. I'll be switching to an SSD HD to store the music.
Plus - Installation was as simple as plugging in the supplied harness. I am able to us the sterring wheel controls to control the music.
Minus - It only has support for 99 playlists.
2. Eco Mod
In an effort to improve the airflow, and increase gas milage, I decided to try and reduce the air resistance and air flow across the front.
I removed the grill and installed a piece of wire mesh that's used for screen doors using an adhesive. Not a very clean job but it protects the radiator from small rocks and other debris flying into it.
I sealed up the openings under the front bumper and the holes on the sides.
So far, there hasn't been any issues with air flow from under the car or a change in handling. The temperature has not risen above where it is normally for the car. Then again, it is fall and it doesn't get very hot.
This mod has a slight improvement in fuel economy and it doesn't feel like its fighting me when accelerating. I think this has to do more with the fact that with the modifications, the air flow has definately changed and there is more air reaching the air intake.
