Default Annoying Rattles :(

I've owned my 05 RX for a couple months and am overall happy with it except for really annoying rattles coming from front passenger side whenever going over bumps and pot holes. I hear rattles from up, around glove box area and etc only from the front passenger area. What can I do to pinpoint where exactly rattles come from and possibly get rid of them?

I don't have any rattles coming from that area... that I have noticed. But I do have a rattle coming from the back seat when the armrest console is up. If the console is left down it is nice and quiet. I do have a small air noise coming from the right rear but after 125K I can put up with some noises. Good luck tracking that rattle down. Might want to have someone look at the struts to see if they are worn out and rattling. I know mine is due for struts but I am procrastinating since I recently had the waterpump, timing belt, trans flush, gear oil (transfer case and rear diff) , and spark plugs changed out.

This might sound crazy but I too notice rattling especially when my girlfriend has been in the car... reason? she always puts crap in that little pull out thing on the door. check in there and make sure there is nothing in that box.

I put about 200 miles on my '05 RX330 I just bought and have a rattle coming from the rear. I think its the rear floor compartment doors. I removed all the "stuff" I put in after purchasing so now I'm waiting to confirm on my next ride. The compartment doors do seems like they do not close/seat completely despite gravity and the rug mat...

I took my 2007 RX350 to the dealer for the VVT-I oil hose replacement. I also mentioned the annoying rattle in the rear hatch area. They were aware of the rattle problem and performed the TSIB NV5016 - Tonneau Cover Latch Rattle repair. The following parts were replaced:

1 67754-48050-B0 Spacer, Back Door TR
1 67754-48060-B0 Spacer, Back door TR

No more rear rattle after this was done.

LOL, no matter where you set them down, they build a nest. Another tip/warning; if a female is around or uses an object for 30 days or more it automatically becomes hers, it's a law apparently. Be careful of that Lexus!

I had the same area rattle and was able to fix it. There is a plastic panel on the passenger side, below the glove box, just in front of the passenger door. Remove that panel and you'll see several wiring harnesses, relays, etc. They are mounted onto steel brackets. That's what was rattling on my car. I just wedged some foam in there and it took care of the rattles.

The dealer still owes me a master key and in discussion with him, I asked about the rattle and he said when the key arrives, he'll have the service dept look into it.
That suits me fine...

I found one this weekend...the plastic cover over the spare tire was rattling...I lowered tire and added some foam to the cover and rattle is gone....I also added some foam to the center panel that twist and locks...
