Does that include the $70 four Bridgestone tires going on right now with Costco?

Have you considered the Bridgestone Dueler H/L 422 Ecopia? It is a newer tire.

Should be a bit cheaper. Check with your Costco to make sure they carry them.

There are several here who have moved to the new Ecopia. Just look back on this thread for a few of those posts. Is a low rolling resistance tire. Longer tread life. Not a lot on how it does in the snow.

pulled the trigger on the Bridgestone Alenzas today. Had Discount Tire price match to Costco. and will end up paying $751.21 out of pocket after all avail promos. Didn't choose MIchelins as I feel they are soft and may not last as long. No Goodyear Comfortreds based on feedback from Sams Club who said they see a lot of probs with them. Settled on Alenzas based on opportunity to price match and taking advantage of the $70 Costco coupon plus $70 avail thru Discount Tire. Can't provide any tire feedback yet as they are still brand new.

Finally selected copia from Costco, as I understand Alenza has been discontinued, they are pushing alenza out of their stock, copia has to be ordered, thread life is longer. Price wise closed to each other.

If anyone is interested in Goodyear Comfortred Tourings for the 18" wheels, best price is at Sears if you have Sears card. Order set online, shipped free. Stack $40 online coupon, buy 3 get 1 free, and $160 visa card if paying by Sears card. Then take to Discount Tire for install or another provider. Wish I waited a week to buy our tires !! Net installed cost would have been around mid $500 for me.

Tirerack reviews are ht or miss. A lot of bubbling or vibration issues. I might just go with the Scorpions. Do they ever go onsale similar to the costco or sears promos?

I am trying to decide what tires to get for my wifes RX 400h. We live in Omaha NE and get all sorts of road conditions (wet, dry, snow, etc)

I am trying to decide between the Pirelli Scorpion Verde, and the Bridgestone Dueler. If cost does not matter, which one is recommended?

I have gotten good life out of my Alenzas, but want to try the Verde next. I feel the Bridgestones are noisy. But they have been a good tire.

i have kumho solus tires installed by previous owner less than 10k miles ago. it is a decent tire and reltively quiet. there's a gouge that about a penny size chunk of rubber that's probably 1/8th inch deep on one of the tires. i have no idea what could have caused it or if it's related to the quality of these tires.

Default QUIETEST TIRES - priority #1

2n gen RX350 (2009)

Any recommendations - is there a lab that measures this, or any professional reviewers out there actually comparing tires? Sure all different kinds of brands are getting anecdotal reviews saying this or that tire is great - but... when one buys a new tire it's always going to be an improvement over the old ones - how about comparisons?

So far one of the top recommendations I see is Michelin Energy.
Are any of the lesser brands like Nitto competitive on SOUND/QUIET levels?

Consumer Reports, for performance all season, gave Michelin Primacy MXV4[H] the only "excellent" ranking for noise in its category. For all season, Yokohama Avid Ascend was the only one rated "excellent" for noise.

For All Season Truck, "excellent" was given for Continental CrossContact LX20 EcoPlus, Michelin Latitude Tour, Michelin Latitude Tour HP, Hankook Dynapro HT, General General Grabber HTS, and Nokian HT Sport Utility . Note the Nokian scored "poor" (the lowest possible) for snow traction and ice braking.
