Default Push Pin Part Number

While we are on the subject of hard to find parts, anyone have the part number for the larger of the two push pin retainers used on the lower back engine cover? I found the smaller of the two easy enough (the longer, thinner one) but the shorter fatter one seems to be tougher to find. TIA.

I go to the local Ace Hardware for all my clips. Try it. All sizes and types.

I just ordered some clips, nuts, and retainers for my front interior fenders from sewell website. When you type "engine retainer" onto the search box, you will see a list of retainers as well as their diagrams. Look at the diagrams and you can see all the actual parts and the part numbers.

I ended up taking a broken retainer to my local Lexus dealer. The part number is 51453-0E010, about $5 each. Ouch!

Thanks for the link, but it does not appear they carry that part number.

Nwfsnake, you should try the 9mm ones, but not the push pin ones, the screw head ones fit perfectly and are way easier to remove than the push pin ones that break easily. I replaced all the push pins in the engine compartment, the ones that cover the battery, coolants, inverter and headlights. They aren't "original" toyota/lexus parts, but they are just black abs plastic clips, and really work better than the originals IMO. And not $5 each.

Default Update: Push Pins (Silencers) Now Available in Aftermarket

Just an update to this older thread. I just ordered all three types of Push Pins (Silencers) for my RX350's under engine splash shields from autobodyclips.com . They were about $1 each or less for a box of 10-15, depending on the clip size. Much better than the $4-6 each you pay at the Lexus or Toyota dealer!

Lexus Part Nos: 52161 (need 2), 51453 (need 4), 51454 (need 1)

I'm looking for a schematic that shows where the 7 fasteners are located in the engine under covers. My CD manual shows 3 under cover assembly pieces with nuts and fasteners but does not distinguish as to where each of the 7 fasteners are located. Does anyone have a diagram for this? Thanks, Bob

I figured it out so I no longer need the schematic.
