Condensation dripping from under glovebox
 

2006 RX330, carpet is soaked and water is dripping from the plastic cover underneath glovebox. Checked the cabin filter inside glovebox, that seemed fine, anyone have any ideas as to what is causing this?

Drain line for the air conditioning?

It's from the AC, I guess I'll have to look for drain lines somewhere.

HVAC drains generally come through the firewall and point down. Look for a 3/4" black hose that isn't attached. You might be able to stick a stiff wire up the hose to unclog it.

I agree, it's likely the AC condensate drain line - either plugged, or somehow disconnected.

I found the hose, but you have to be very small to get your hands in there. Couln't snake a wire through the hose. Brought it to the dealer today, told them what it was and they took care of it.

My father's RX (although it's 300) has the same problem. Where is this AC drain hose located?

I hope the dealer didn't charge you for this minor item.

They did not charge us, had oil change and a few other minor things done so no charge.

The drain on the 330 is located on the passanger side, just inside the engine compartment onthe other side of the wheel well. Just a small black rubber hose.

I have just noticed this same problem on my 02 lx470. Any idea how I might fix this one? I have only had it about a year and I'm not really too mechanically skilled. So the more detail the better. Thank You.

What about water dripping near the gas pedal? And no, I didn't pee in my pants =p

I recently also had condensate dripping in the footwell but couldn't unclog it by fishing line through the black hose from the exterior of vehicle, so I disconnected that rubber hose from underneath the dashboard (behind the console) where it's connected to the evaporator box. It is accessible from the passenger side footwell. To access it, I removed a small section of the console next to the footwell and pulled back a bit of the carpet. There is no clamp for the hose as it simply slides onto to box outlet. Then I fished a bit of small gauge vinyl weed trimmer line just a very short distance into the outlet which quickly got rid of the blockage. I'd be careful about fishing anything more rigid or putting the line very far into this outlet. Alot of water began pouring out, which I was ready for and then quickly reconnected the black hose. Make sure you have towels ready. Anyway, problem solved and it was an easy fix.
