Well, you can get the best possible job simply by spending nothing and keep it stock.
Not arguing on aesthetical views, but there are good functional reasons why those parts are built in raw, unpainted PU.

Yes a clear bra. As you can see I had mine painted, but some parts started to peel so I put a clear bra on it, definitely worth it. No body can see it, and I don't worry about dirt or rock chips hitting it.

If you want it done correctly get it professionally done, but you would need to pay extra to put a clear bra on it. So if you don't want to spend that much money on it, better to leave it as is.

Works great!
Used it behind the rear door on the lower leading edge of the wheelwell, prevents snow, salt, rocks from chipping the paint.

Thanks Adam8065 for posting the additional pic.
Personally I like it, your vehicle looks uniform and clean.

Thanks Carman57 for posting the 3m link. I'm able to find some in my area. A few weeks ago I tried google "clear bra installers nyc" and the results were not great at all.

I did have a chat to someone today concerning this and they too were concerned about the peeling aspect of putting the paint on these OEM skirts. The biggest factor was in regards to the years of road grime, dirt, car wash soap, wax, polish and anything else that may have gotten onto the skirts and that that would cause it to peel faster. What are people's thoughts on this?

The other question I had is about the paint matching. I suspect this will be a paint with 1 or 2 layers and compare against the current colour of the paint, if not on, try and add a couple of layers (of course you would use a sample piece to gauge the number of coats to potentially apply to the skirts).

Draco,

This is why I recommend you putting a clear bra protection on your side skirts if you decide to paint them. I had to do that to mine because they were starting to peel. Here what it will look like.

yeah the price of double dins have come down a lot...the function of the headunit just blows factory setups away. And I even used the PAC steering wheel control kit. Very nice so i can still retain the controls!

Is that the Metra RX faceplate?
Looks better without the side fill in adapters that the BeatSonic has.

IS350S, looks like your headlights are blacked out headlights. Are they OEM but insides painted or are they aftermarket? Any shots from the front?
