The zinc remains on the part of the rotor that doesn't get used by the pad, so the rotor remains rust free, since the pad keeps the "meat" of the rotor clean.

True, these rotors are five years old and still no rust...

Nice! I like seeing this. I ended up buying the drilled and slotted ones. I guess we shall see when I can put them on. I am definitely not comfortable with the feeling of the warped rotors right now

What kind of pads are you going to use? I didn't use the ones that came with the rotors. I've had such good luck with Akebono ceramics I stayed with those.

I dunno. the ones they come with are prob. not that wonderful. I have had good experiences with Axis Ceramics as well.
