One thing that we love about our 2006 RX330 (that we bot used exactly 2 years ago, with just 17K miles), is the flat floor in the rear seating area. NO HUMP! A friend just bot a new BMW X3 and what struck me was how huge the hump was in the back. The flat floor makes sliding across EASY and it's also easy to throw an umbrella or cane (long story) on the floor. I have never seen this benefit of the RX discussed here before. I am wondering, does the BMW X5 have a flat floor and does the current generation RX350 have a flat floor? Truthfully this is something I never even thought about before but is could be a deal maker/breaker next time we get a car. My LS460, a fine vehicle, has a huge hump. Truthfully the RX is a better family car because of the flat rear floor.

ROFL, Nice!. Only the rear wheeler cars usually have them, most of the front wheel drive cars have flat rears now.

RuninRoach is correct. Because the RX is a front-wheel drive SUV, thus, no hump in the rear seat area. The BMW X5 and X3 are rear-wheel drive SUV's, thus, there's a hump in the back!

I'm not sure that's entirely true, EMSLEXUSRX. The RX can be bought as a front wheel drive, but mine is a 4 wheel drive with a prop shaft going to the back wheels, and a rear diff. It also has a flat floor.

true, with the Rx. NO HUMP front or awd, i meants cars like accord, civics....there are some FWD with traction contorl and they have a little bit of a hump....my bro's pathfinder also had a hump......
