Dice Ipod and 2004 RX
so I just got a new to me certified 2004 RX330 last week.. I ordered a dice ipod integration kit to use both my ipod and sat radio via the aux in... I just went to install it only to find out that none of the connections matched my radio...I ordered the I-toyota-R/rv model as specified but the connections dont match up... I have contacted dice and they have suggested that since my rx build date is 04/03 that I might have an older radio.. I have sent them pictures and I am waiting to hear back... is this possible... has anyone else had this problem? I love my RX but I need my sat radio and ipod!!!

No, I don't play soccer!
msdrx330, welcome to CL.
I went with the original Dension (now Dice) unit years back for my '04 with similar build date. My installer could not get it to work after spending hours on the phone with them. Good luck getting a refund. They wouldn't give me one but fortunately Amex did. I wound up going with VAIS and was very, very happy. Their customer service/tech support is great too.

I went with the iSimple Gateway for my 2008 RX and so far I am very pleased with it. I had it installed by a local installer in Atlanta. It charges the iPhone and has both iPhone cable and a 3.5 audio cable.
I have read on some forums that the iOS 4.0.1 has been a problem but I have not seem that issue. iSimple has a fix for the issue so if you go new you would get the updated device.
Check to see if your year is supported and give iSimple a try.
In my 2004 SC430 I have the VAIS SLI with an iSimple cable to charge the iPhone and it does well as well.
iSimple needs the update to support the IPOD input setting for iOS 4.0.1. The two AUX setting continue to work with no problem.
