Default Is it possible to drive with just the fog lights on?

I searched the forum and couldn't find anything.

I have a 2004 RX330 and I was wondering if it was possible to have just the fog lights on? I'm planning on getting HID fogs, thats why i ask.

you can, just make sure you can see, and the cops don't screw you over.

This shouldn't be too hard to do. You'll want to run a switch with a relay/in-line fuse that allows you to turn the fog lights on/off at will with the flip/push of a button. It's a simple positive/negative wire hook up to go to the extra switch and some wire testing to see where to tap power from.

I've did this on my other car years ago (only running fog lights) and it wasn't too hard to do

Fog lights are for fog. Nothing else.

+1. The bulbs are the same wattage as 'high' headlights. In Europe, they give fines for using foglights without fog, fightly so because they blind other drivers.

It is a safety issue, JM2C. Fogs are not designed to illuminate the road correctly.
